While there are many rewarding aspects to practicing law, there are often many pressures as well. Lawyers are among the most stressed professionals. Though stress is often viewed as a negative, it can be a helpful part of life. New research indicates that stress can help us become more resilient, happy, healthy and productive if we embrace it. Even when we cannot eliminate or fix stress, we can learn to take advantage of it.
This program will explore the importance of examining and changing our relationship to stress, the hidden opportunities in stress, and how lawyers can harness stress to create more meaning in work and life.
