On Becoming

Sheila Azad is an ontological coach and energy practitioner.

She is most recently certified as an ontological coach through Ideal Coaching Global, and initially certified in Coaching for Transformation through Leadership That Works. Both are International Coach Federation–accredited programs. Sheila’s coaching practice includes both executive and personal coaching.

Prior to becoming a certified coach, Sheila spent 7 years practicing corporate law in prestigious corporate law firms in New York City. As an associate at Sidley Austin LLP, her practice focused on structured finance transactions.  As an associate and then counsel at Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld LLP, her practice focused on the formation and operation of hedge funds and private equity funds.

In her most recent corporate role at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, she worked as a knowledge and innovation attorney, focusing on projects that organized and tracked market intelligence, legal precedent and institutional resources for the investment funds group. She also tested and evaluated emerging legal technologies, including generative AI.

Sheila has been committed to the spiritual journey and on the path of energy practice for over 20 years.  She is trained and certified in multiple modalities and has worked as a Reiki practitioner. Her presence is informed by feminine embodiment practice, meditation in different forms, non-dual teachings and practices of connecting with the soul and spiritual heart.

Sheila is certified as a practitioner of DECU™ (DNA Expression Cellular Upgrade), which is a quantum methodology for cellular reprogramming. She is also certified as a DMT™ Card Reader. These methods deepen her work with cellular consciousness and with frequency- and pattern-based approaches to awareness and transformation.

She holds a B.A. magna cum laude from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a J.D. from Fordham Law School.
